Our Client is a leading provider of Class A exterior and interior automotive products within North America. With over 30 years of successes within automotive industry they pride themselves on customer diversification. Currently they are seeking a Tooling Engineer to join their Tooling Engineer or designate will co-ordinate and assist in the activities of the Tooling
Desired Skills & Experience
- Provide recommendations and input on tooling design for all facility programs
- Responsible to complete and oversee all facility tooling follow up
- Responsible to organize coordinate and maintain facility Tooling PM program.
- Provide support to program management group with estimating support (tonnages cyclesgating etc)
- Oversee tooling repairs/engineering changes & ensure timely/quality repairs are completed
- Develop organize and implement efficiency improvement(s) and scrap reduction opportunities.
- Promote an atmosphere of team work at all times
- Ensure that sufficient resources are available for tooling department including training safety requirements personnel work instructions procedures and related tools
- Directs tooling specialists supervisors in maintaining positive employee relations and safework environment
- Provide support to ensure that tooling specialists within the tooling department receive propertraining and understand all job tasks.
Education
- Must possess a recognized college level program or equivalent with preference given to those with anengineering diploma or a technical diploma in tooling -mold design.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are a licensed toolmaker and/or Tooling Design Engineer
Work Experience
- Must have at least 5-7 years experience intooling and tooling designin a leader capacity in an automotive environment with preference given to those who have 8-10 years experience.
- Must have good communication skills both written & verbal.
- Experience with automotive plastics
