How will you make an impact
Our interns are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.
Projects may include the following responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to identify and address areas to improve efficiency and benchmark with industry best practices.
- Become a process owner; critically review specific processes with great attention to detail and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Learn continuous improvement methodologies (i.e. PPI Six Sigma and others) and help promote improvement initiatives.
- Align with all company safety training and quality regulations (i.e. ISO compliance GLP/GMP requirements etc.) and procedures.
- Execute experimental plans analyze data and contribute to technical reports and product summaries.
- Investigate new methods/technologies and maintain accurate lab notebook to support protection of intellectual property in accordance with relevant Thermo Fisher required standards.
- Work collaboratively with other functions including Business Development Quality Operations Technical Services and/or Marketing in the commercialization of new products.
How will you get here
- Masters or PhD degree student pursuing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree.
- 0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.
- Experience using computer applications such as MS Outlook Word Excel and Power Point.
- Native (or proficient) in English.
- Internship will fulfill a 12-month University placement within curriculum.
- Ability to be onsite this is not a remote opportunity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong professional presence.
