Job Description

The Product Development Intern position at Thermo Fisher Scientifics Experience Design Center focuses on developing eco-friendly products. Work closely with senior engineers to integrate sustainability into product design assess environmental impact and help achieve net-zero emissions goals.

What will you do (Responsibilities)

• Support various projects related to more sustainable product development
• Develop skills in collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Contribute to Thermo Fishers and our customers net zero commitments from concept to commercialization

How will you get here (Knowledge/Skills)

• Completed coursework in Sustainability or Environmental Science
• Familiarity with instrumentation consumables and workflows used in academia pharma and biotech research laboratories

Start Date: This internship is set to begin on either May 11th or June 15th 2026 for a duration of 10-12 weeks (dependent upon student availability per academic calendars).

Education & Experience

• Rising junior or graduating senior pursuing a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Sustainability Environmental Science Engineering or a related field
• Energized by championing change driven in getting results and savvy in navigating ambiguity.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.

To qualify applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. Thermo Fisher does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1 J-1 H-1 OPT and CPT Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience.

Compensation and Benefits

• The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $14.75$28.75.
