As the Quality Manager for the Problem Resolution Team in the UK you will lead inspire and coach a team of Quality Engineers to diagnose manage and drive resolution of quality issues on supplied product.

Responsibilities

  • PROBLEM RESOLUTION Leading a team of Quality Engineers focused on Problem Resolution for quality escapes and reports of non-conformance from the Supply Chain
  • PROTECTING THE CUSTOMER - Support of Containment Escalation Meetings for key issues interacting with leaders from other functions and with the Customer to facilitate resolution and ensure that disruption to the customer is minimised.
  • QUALITY Ensure that learning from problems is extracted and shared to prevent future reoccurrence as part of our journey towards Zero Defects.
  • STRATEGY - Contributing to the global strategy for Problem Resolution to enable world class problem solving within Rolls-Royce and enabling the recovery of Cost of Non Quality to minimise financial impact to the business
  • LEADING Developing and coaching the team to deliver world class containment and problem resolution. Also providing support to the in-region North America Problem Resolution Team.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant technical or engineering discipline coupled with a background of working in an operational Quality role
  • Experience of leading and managing teams
  • Good problem solving data analysis and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning communication and decision-making skills in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Knowledge and demonstrable application of Quality and BI tools i.e. 8D investigation improvement methodologies
  • Has company-wide outlook and exposure to different challenges cultures and ways of working
  • Understanding/knowledge of multiple disciplines demonstrating breadth of experience. Appreciation of product integrity
  • Demonstrable evidence of business acumen; relating to quality improvement manufacturing and HSE activities and priorities
  • Stakeholder management across a range of functions and seniority
  • Able to coach and mentor others and a strong customer focus
