Job Title: Surgical Technologist Pediatrics OR
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks Full-Time Contract
Pay Rate: $50 $55/hour
Shift: Variable Day/Evening 8 hours/shift 5 shifts/week
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Surgical Technologistfor an exciting local job in Syracuse NY.
Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms instruments and equipment to support surgical teams.
Perform scrub duties for pediatric and specialty surgeries while adhering to aseptic techniques.
Provide intraoperative support across diverse specialties including orthopedic general surgery ENT vascular gynecology neurosurgery trauma bariatric and GU.
Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
Maintain sterile fields and enforce infection prevention standards.
Collaborate with surgeons nurses and OR staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
Uphold hospital policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Adapt quickly and perform independently with minimal orientation.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room experience (within the last 4 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and scope.
Pediatric OR experience required.
Scrub proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.
Background in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers or teaching hospitals.
Knowledge of state regulations (Note: First Assist is not permitted in New York State).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have an active professional license/certification in good standing.
