Responsibilities
- Greets and interacts with guests in a friendly professional and attentive manner.
- Ensures a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Ensures that gaming procedures and regulations are properly implemented and adhered to.
- Authorizes and pays short/hand pays and jackpots in accordance with current gaming regulations.
- Cash handling on the gaming floor required/may be required to carry a bank.
- Promotes Experience Club membership to casino guests.
- Maintains working knowledge of slot machines in order to investigate player complaints and machine malfunctions.
- Answers all calls in assigned area and corrects minor machine malfunctions hand pays bill validator jams etc.
- Learns and knows the payoffs of those slot machines to ensure exceptional guest service.
- Correctly completes all required paperwork per company procedure.
- Maintains confidential daily record of tokes as applicable.
- Learns and follows all department and casino policies procedures and regulations as required.
- Assists Slot Manager and Slot Shift Supervisor in daily activities within the Slot Department as well as interfacing with other Departments to facilitate good customer service.
- Ensures compliance with Tribal State Federal and NIGC regulations.
- Attends all mandatory department casino and/or training meetings.
- Work nights weekends and holidays as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exceptional guest service skills required with strong organizational skills.
- High volume cash handling. Minimum of 6 months prior experience working with the public and cash handling is required.
- Previous Slot experience and knowledge of Slot machine functions preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computers in a Windows environment is required.
- Proficiency with handheld devices such as Ipods Ipads and computers.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and employees.
- Ability to speak effectively with guests and staff.
- Ability to read write and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos.
- Basic math skills which include the ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
Certificates Licenses Regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. Requires the ability to stand walk bend crouch and reach often for the duration of the shift. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. This is a 24 hour 7 days a week work operation.
