How youll contribute

A Laboratory Assistantwho excels in this role:

• Will perform basic laboratory duties to include phlebotomy along with other specimen collection and waived testing

• Is responsible for ordering processing and distributing laboratory specimens

• Review of pending reports manifests etc. for outstanding lab results; assisting other lab personnel with specimen storage and retrieval ensuring Turn Around Times (TATs) are met; and maintaining inventory for phlebotomy services reference lab supplies and departmental office supplies

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

• Critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

• Attention to detail and accuracy including closely monitoring all aspects of the job and continually checking processes and tasks is required.

• Information collection and management attention to detail along with the ability to work under pressure
