Job Summary

Salary/Position Classification

  • $10.00 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

Purpose of Position

The Womens Volleyball staff at the University of North Dakota is in search of dedicated hard-working student managers that will be able to assist our program with a variety of day-to-day tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills to assist in both the operational and administrative functions of the program.

This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Aid in the set-up and take-down of equipment for all practices & games.
  • Assist in the filming of practices & games.
  • Record statistics & provide in-practice help as needed.
  • Run the scoreboard at select practices as assigned.
  • Assist with administrative work areas as assigned by supervisor.
  • Monitor cleanliness of the volleyball locker room and the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
  • Possible travel with team on select trips throughout the season.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Competencies

  • Punctual responsible and accountable for completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task organize and prioritize.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current UND student enrolled in a minimum of one credit during the semester of employment.
  • Background with the game of volleyball in some capacity preferred.
  • Experience in data/statistical analysis preferred.
  • Experience in content creation and/or social media preferred.
  • Experience with Data Volley preferred.
  • Punctual responsible and accountable for completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task organize and prioritize.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Successful Completion of a criminal history background check
