Freelance S/4 CO Lead (German speaking)

This is a unique opportunity to step into aCO Lead role within a global S/4HANA programme for a leading manufacturer in the tobacco industry. With the first go-live set for December 2026 and international rollouts to follow youll take full ownership of Margin Analysis and CO best practices working closely with the FI/CO Stream Lead.

Start date: ASAP
End date: December 2027 (initial contract to EOY with long-term extensions likely)
Location: Hamburg 2 days per week onsite (or 3 days every second week)
Utilisation: 4 days per week (3 days can be considered)
Industry: Manufacturing (Tobacco / Machinery & Equipment)
Languages: German and English required

What you can expect

YOU take responsibility as the sole CO Lead identifying gaps in the CO template and running workshops with the business
YOU design and configure CO processes with a strong focus on Margin Analysis and Fiori-based reporting
YOU demo solutions to stakeholders and guide them towards SAP Best Practices and standardisation
YOU implement and integrate CO with logistics modules (SD MM PP PS) and Finance
YOU collaborate under the FI/CO Stream Lead and govern controlling best practices in an Engineer-to-Order and Make-to-Order environment

What you offer

YOU bring 8 years experience in SAP CO configuration and controlling processes
YOU have a deep understanding of Record-to-Report and manufacturing processes (MTO ETO ATO)
YOU are experienced in SAP S/4HANA and Fiori
YOU have strong integration knowledge across logistics and finance
