Overview: Responsible for providing specifically requested and booked massages and/or health and wellness body services following the Kingsmill Spa Protocol for members and guests of the property.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects and reports hazardous conditions immediately to management regarding spa area equipment locker areas and restroom facilities used by patrons
- Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility including stocking rooms with adequate supplies and requesting supplies in advance when running low.
- Reports any accidents immediately and monitors fitness environment to maintain safety.
- Ensures safety rules policies and guidelines are followed ensuring that each guest has a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Performs massage or other health services following Kingsmill protocol and in-house training
- Performs services assigned as listed in spa massage menu including body treatments massages along with health and wellness services
- Maintains a clean and sanitized work environment.
- Practices established healthcare protocol.
- Participates in continuing education class.
- Reports to services on time and as scheduled by the Spa following the protocols of the Spa
- Remains current on massage body work health and wellness techniques and required licensure along with other professional certifications/training necessary for specific services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to be punctual
- Works well with little direction
- Must have professional presentation
- Ability to build relationships
- Must be capable of performing the services that are listed in the menu including stooping standing bending twisting turning squatting and maintaining balance
- Ability to lift push pull or carry up to 40 pounds
- Possess knowledge of occupational hazards and precautions related to massage techniques
- Possess National Certifications and Virginia Commonwealth License if Massage Therapist as well as other certificates/training as required for specific services (i.e. Reflexology Energy Reiki etc.)
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED
- Prefer possession of multiple certifications with ability to perform a variety of services offered in the spa brochure.
- Ability to work nights weekends and holidays
- Two years work related experience preferred but not required
- Experience working in a resort or spa in massage preferred
- Retail experience is a plus
