The Assisted Living Program (ALP) helps people disabled due to HIV/AIDS who are homeless. ALP helps individuals obtain a housing subsidy secure an apartment and then provides ongoing case management to help each individual maintain their health housing and independence.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

What Youll Do:
- Provide direction and support to program efforts to ensure the safety of the persons served and families staff visitors and the division sites.
- Ensure that program staff are trained in Workplace Safety/Violence Prevention initiatives policies and procedures and ensure that these procedures are followed by program staff.
- Review monitor and collect program efforts with all fire and emergency drills oversee agency/site safety initiatives/objectives as needed to ensure program directors are meeting expectations.
- Monitor agency safety wide policies and create methods and procedures for their implementation within the division.
- Follow JRI procedures on hand washing universal precautions COVID/ infection control procedures and relevant OSHAregulations as well as ensuring that all staff are following those requirements.
- Deliver role functions in the program/site clients home community collateral contacts office DCF DMH DPH DDS or school building or other setting that is appropriate for the client in a safe and appropriate manner. This would include driving to and from those settings in ones personal vehicle with or without the clients or staff.
- Follow through with reports and investigations as indicated regarding critical incidents and sentinel events.
- If required provide direct supervision of any assigned program staff or assign supervision duties to other staff and monitor that supervision.
- As assigned by supervision plan and lead facilitation of any monthly quarterly or other meetings for your program as it relates to training support compliance policies safety etc.
- Participate in hiring and management of hiring process for your program.
- Participate in division wide meetings as required by Executive Director or Deputy Director of the division.
- Support the program team to build and nurture positive workplace culture.
- As part of the Performance Improvement (PI) function ensure the development and assessment of PI Indicators through strategic planning process; report on data and opportunities for improvement to your supervisor and corporate staff.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local community partners; attend meetings as required.
- Operate the program within the approved budget; provide input into budget preparation and adjustments ensure proper accuracy of accounting of program budget.
- Complete other duties as indicated by supervisor.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Bachelors Degree is preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years work experience with the priority population.
- Creole and Spanish speaking applicants encouraged to apply.
- Case management experience; HIV-specific experience preferred.
- Self-directed team-oriented flexible.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to issues related to HIV substance abuse poverty & homelessness and diverse populations required.
