WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

Observability is at the heart of delivering robust reliable and innovative solutions to our global financial clients. This role puts you at the forefront of our strategic journey building systems that proactively detect issues provide clear insights and drive continuous improvements. Your contribution ensures SimCorp can swiftly respond to challenges keep systems performing optimally and empower our teams with actionable insights. Success in this role means delivering exceptional reliability transparency and innovation directly impacting client satisfaction and SimCorps industry leadership.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Deploy automate and manage observability infrastructure within Azure environments.

  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform ARM templates Helm charts Bicep).

  • Monitor and optimize Azure cloud services (Azure Kubernetes Service Azure Monitor App Insights).

  • Ensure efficient integrations and operational consistency across observability tooling in Azure.

WHAT WE VALUE

This role is for a hands-on leader focused on platform reliability and innovation particularly in applying AI/ML to enhance monitoring capabilities.

Professional & Technical Skills

Azure Cloud Expertise:

  • Strong practical experience with Azure services ideally backed by Microsoft Azure certifications.

  • Deep knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

  • Familiarity with related Azure services like Azure Functions Event Hubs and Virtual Networks for a complete observability picture.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation:

  • Expertise in infrastructure automation to deploy and manage observability tools.

  • Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates Bicep and Helm charts.

  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.

Scripting & Integration:

  • Solid scripting skills in PowerShell Python for creating automation scripts and custom integrations.

  • Experience ensuring efficient and consistent integration between various observability tools (e.g. Elastic Grafana Prometheus) within Azure.

Soft Skills & Capabilities

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and precise especially when writing and reviewing Infrastructure as Code to prevent environment issues.

  • Automation Mindset: A strong desire to automate everything reducing manual tasks and improving efficiency and reliability.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Works closely with development and operations teams to ensure their observability needs are met within the Azure environment.

  • Continuous Learner: Eager to stay updated with the latest advancements in Azure services and cloud-native observability practices.
