About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Backend Developer who hasthe capability know-how and wherewithal to help drive forward thecompanys technical vision whilst remaining very hands on. This is an
exceptional opportunity to join a young mobile & web productteam. Youll be responsible for designing implementing and deployingnew and existing applications and products for Research Central.

Skills

Excellent understanding of server side development;
Excellent understanding of one or more of Python Scala or JavaScript;
Great testing discipline;
Good understanding of Git and its workflow;
Used to Vagrant or Docker and virtualized development environments;
Used to deploying applications to PaaS and bare metal servers;
Used to deploying applications with Continuous Integration;
You feel comfortable with the whole HTTP stack from the protocol up to JSON / HTML and its representations;
Experience with relational databases preferably PostgreSQL;
Perfect written and spoken English;
UK resident / EU working visa.

Bonus

Familiar with JavaScript frameworks such as React.
