POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Team Manager the Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical equipment and making repairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lockout Authorized
- Troubleshooting Mechanic and Repairs
- Machine Adjustments with Tools
- Minor Fabrication of Parts
- Electrical Troubleshooting and Repairs
- Read Schematics and Blueprints
- Limited PLC Troubleshooting
- Preventive Maintenance
- Product Changeover
- Implement Ideas to Improve Line Efficiencies
- Quality Checks
- Housekeeping
- Material Handling
- Maintain good safety practices.
- Act as an emergency brigade for fires searches and/or evacuations as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least three (3) years industrial maintenance experience.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Must be very detail oriented and have strong interpersonal communication and team based skills.
- Being a self-starter as well as a problem-solver are required assets.
- Be able to work a rotating 12 hour shift hours can vary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Additional recent technical training preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
