Job Summary

RN Manager Labor & Delivery (Permanent Role)

Location: Austin TX 73301

Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

Support initiatives to reduce clinical practice variation and improve operational efficiency effectiveness and cost.
Promote a culture of accountability safety and transparency in patient care delivery.
Drive achievement of internal and external performance benchmarks accreditations and specialty designations.
Ensure full compliance with organizational policies procedures and applicable regulatory standards.
Oversee regular maintenance and readiness of all equipment in accordance with safety and accreditation standards.
Manage admissions and discharges to optimize patient flow and care quality.
Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination across departments for seamless patient experiences.
Assign staff according to patient acuity and staff competency to meet care delivery needs effectively.
Lead efforts to deliver a best-in-class patient experience through excellent communication and care practices.
Monitor and respond to patient feedback and satisfaction data to improve outcomes and service.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall patient and family experience.

Required Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- At least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role within a Labor & Delivery Unit
Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN license in the state of Texas or a compact license in accordance with state regulations
- Specialty Certification in L&D (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
