Seeking Heavy Civil Project Engineer For Raleigh NC AREA

Project Engineers help manage a projects planning and processes to ensure it is completed efficiently on time and within budget. Duties and responsibilities vary per project.

Project Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Completes heavy civil/ and or Utility projects by organizing and controlling project elements
- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management
- Draft subcontractor agreements for review
- Attends site and owner meetings
- Oversee subcontractors and quality control and safety requirements
- Prepare and track RFIs Monthly Pay Requests and Purchase Orders
- Document Control: internal reports tracking reports for equipment time and materials cost coding
- Helps to plan work schedule and keep schedule updates in the system
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress coordinating activities and resolving problems
- Controls project costs by submitting expenditures and administering subcontractor contracts for review and approval
- Prepares project status reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures rules and regulations
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Duties Vary and Other duties as assigned
Project Engineer Qualifications / Skills:

- Supervision of teams and subcontractors
- CAD CAD/CAM circuit design
- Skilled in Tracking Costs RFIs Submittals Quantities
Education Experience and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master of Science in Civil Engineering Construction Management Architecture or other related discipline . Preferred but not required.
- 1 years of project experience working in the heavy civil construction industry Required
- EIT Certification a plus
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools exposure to scheduling software such as Primavera (P6) AutoCAD Bluebeam and Viewpoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external resources
- Ability to effectively prioritize duties based upon project schedules and project needs
- Ability to self-manage with little or no supervision
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to talk listen and speak clearly on telephone.
