20Summary:
This Social Worker will primarily work with patients providing psychosocial assessments crisis intervention case management/discharge planning referral linkage and emotionally supportive counseling aimed at maintaining functional behavior within families. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement that aids the familys efforts in caring for their child and makes referrals to outside agencies for families in need of assistance. Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and perform administrative tasks.
Education:
MSW or MSSW from an accredited school.
Previous experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
Prior experience working with children and their families (preferred).
Certification/Licensure:
Current Texas License for LMSW.
Basis Life Support (BLS) Certification for Health Care Providers required within 30 days of employment.
