Job Description

Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Instrumentation and Electrical Technician in Fair Oaks IN!

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest Sedron Technologies designs manufactures installs and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery Sedron Technologies works with municipal agricultural and industrial customers to process their waste into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.


The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician supports commissioning startup and ongoing operational activities at one of our advanced processing facilities. This hands-on role is critical in ensuring electrical systems are installed maintained and repaired to meet the rigorous demands of an industrial process-driven environment.


This individual will work closely with engineers technicians and operators to troubleshoot systems wire control panels ensure compliance with electrical codes and keep operations running safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for a self-starter with deep experience in industrial environments and a knack for solving problems under pressure.

Because we design build commission and operate our technologies we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:

  • Install maintain and troubleshoot complex electrical systems including motors drives PLCs control panels instrumentation and power distribution across an industrial setting
  • Support commissioning activities and ongoing operations by validating wiring performing loop checks assisting with functional testing and identifying opportunities for system optimization
  • Collaborate with Control Systems Engineers to support instrumentation setup controls integration and implementation of system modifications
  • Lead and project manage assigned scopes of electrical work coordinating timelines resources and contractors to meet project milestones
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings schematics and P&IDs ensuring field installation matches design intent
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical components to support continuous safe operations
  • Implement design changes in collaboration with engineering teams providing hands-on feedback to improve performance maintainability and system uptime
  • Ensure compliance with local state and national electrical codes as well as internal company safety and quality standards
  • Mentor junior electricians and maintenance team members providing technical guidance and hands-on training
  • Prioritize work and adapt to shifting operational needs delivering results in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams of technicians engineers and operators
  • Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving drive bringing energy and excitement to technically challenging work
  • Maintain reliable attendance arriving on time and ready to contribute
  • Take ownership of additional duties as needed to support team and facility goals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance certifications and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree in Instrumentation and Electrical Technology or equivalent education certifications or relevant experience
  • 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance preferably in water treatment manufacturing or process-heavy facilities
  • Strong knowledge of NEC NFPA 70E and industrial safety practices
  • Proven experience with 3-phase systems motor controls VFDs and automation systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team
  • Experience with commissioning/startup of new equipment or facilities
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC systems
  • Electrical or technical associate degree or certification
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal reading and written communication skills in the English language

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test
  • Comfortable working in various environments including heights confined spaces and varying temperatures
  • Ability to stand walk and bend for extended periods of time

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Compensation for this role is between $35 to $50 per hour
  • Additional pay may apply for off-shift hours off-site work or special assignments
  • This role may qualify for a discretionary bonus recognizing outstanding contributions to team and company success
  • This role requires approximately 10% travel to support Sedron facilities
  • In compliance with state and local pay transparency laws the expected compensation for this role is shared above. The range provided is Sedrons estimate of the base compensation for this role and the final offer will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience skills and geographic location. Compensation may be adjusted within this range to reflect regional cost-of-living differences in states where Sedron is hiring.

Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident for this position. We are unable to sponsor any employment visas.
