Job Summary
Old Rochester Regional School District is seeking a Supervisor of Building and Grounds at Sippican School in Marion. They will be responsible for the safe condition and proper functioning of the building and grounds of the school and coordinate the overall maintenance and custodial operations. The Supervisor is a salaried working Supervisor who reports to the building Principal and District Facilities : for the safe condition and proper functioning of the school and with custodial contractor in performing custodial cleaning all activities conform to District guidelines and effectively with all members of the school district and for ensuring custodial contractor are trained in district cleaning methods procedures and coordinates and participates in activities of custodians engaged in cleaning of premises furniture and equipment minor routine maintenance and repair activities using hand tools and tending to heating and cooling units and all other custodial related all projects and activities with the Building Principal to ensure that educational programs remain organize communicate manage tasks simultaneously develop a work schedule for self and others and accomplish work/tasks on time within established an inventory control program to ensure appropriate levels of supplies materials tools equipment and parts are purchases of cleaning equipment and supplies assists the Building Principal and Facilities Director in preparing a phased replacement and capital other duties as needed and/or assigned by the Building Principal or District Facilities : in the use of technology and computer programs such as Microsoft Office and other related software to write reports log inventory or maintenance functions and manage software-driven digital building aptitude with a working knowledge of building and equipment maintenance repairs and operations various building trades construction techniques and state federal and local regulations regarding the proper care and protection of public buildings and the safety of all its a file of all maintenance/custodial department records preventative maintenance forms plans/drawings documents manuals employee evaluations material safety data sheets parts lists and other related information and keeps the files updated and ability to lead train assigns monitor and supervise the work of other custodial staff to work independently with little direction and with diverse organization skills and record keeping reading comprehension problem-solving/troubleshooting and good oral/written communication to perform emergency and routine repairs and preventative maintenance and snow removal Massachusetts drivers licenseOld Rochester Regional believes in the importance of being a diverse equitable and inclusive organization that enables our students and staff to thrive.
