Responsibilities

• Perform standard/reagent/sample preparations and analysis to produce data (results calibrations etc) on raw materials stability in process and finished product samples.
• Ensure that all test results meet applicable QA specifications.
• Understand and follow GEA procedures (including health safety and quality procedures).
• Prepare Certificate of Analysis.
• Basic troubleshooting of analytical equipment/instruments.
• Preventative maintenance of assigned equipment
• Perform housekeeping inventory of standards and reagents and proper disposal of lab.
• Simple statistical data calculations and input data into Excel spreadsheets.
• Collaborate and work with other departments such as R&D and Production to support the release of finished goods.

A minimum of an associated degree in Chemistry or related scientific field with two years of work experience. Less than 2 years of work experience will be considered with higher education such as a bachelors degree with 0 years of related work experience.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $26 - $33 per hour GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors including skill set experience location qualifications and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
