Description

This a working-manager position within companyOperations responsible for managing ISO9001 TL9000 compliance and the corporate Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare companyfor external certification or surveillance audits and manage interface with registrar in multiple companyfacilities.

  • Schedule conduct and manage internal audits. Train and manage a world-wide volunteer internal audit team.

  • Effectively manage companysCorrective and Preventive action process and drive effective resolution of issues in a timely manner.

  • Prepare and present QMS status at ISO management review meetings. Document and track actions to closure.

  • Identify systemic issues risks and negative trends that could impact companyQMS. Proactively work with various departments to drive effective solutions.

  • Generate and update written business process and procedures to support the QMS. Lead process re-engineering where needed. Green or black belt experience helpful.

  • Prepare and conduct regular ISO/TL/QMS awareness training to help employees understand their role and responsibilities in supporting the quality system.

  • People management including hiring budgets and performance management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a people manager with responsibilities for department budget recruiting and performance management. A minimum of 8 years experience with Quality Management System and Quality Engineering experience.

  • Effective at interfacing with both technical and non-technical positions vertically and horizontally throughout the organization.

  • Have successfully obtained 3rdparty and maintained ISO9001 and/or TL9000 certification for one or more sites and business units.

  • Thorough understanding of ISO9001 standards. TL9000 experience a plus.

  • Thorough understanding of continuous improvement theory and application to electronic manufacturing.

  • Hands on experience performing and facilitating root cause investigations (including 8D).

  • Must have exceptional skill at organizing tasks and efficiently managing their time.

  • Ability to define and document appropriate business processes clearly and concisely.

  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills are a must.

  • BSQA BSEE BSET or BSME required. CQA CQM CQE or RAB certifications a plus.

  • Approx. 10% travel both domestic and international.

This is an exempt position reporting to the Director of QMS. Work location is San Jose CA
