Job Description
As a Vocational Consultant you will work directly with clients to develop personalized career goals assist with job exploration job development and long-term supports. Youll serve as an advocate in the community helping clients find competitive integrated employment opportunities. If you enjoy building relationships community outreach and making a difference this is the role for you!
- Support clients through career planning job exploration and assessment activities
- Help with job development job placements and coaching as needed
- Build relationships with local employers community organizations and families
- Keep detailed records of services progress and support plans
- Arrange transportation and attend community activities with clients
- Provide ongoing support and job coaching to ensure success
- Support summer work programs and assist with intake and documentation
- High School diploma or GED with 2 years experience preferred
- Valid drivers license clean driving record and vehicle insurance
- Ability to pass background checks CPR and First Aid training
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and person-centered approach
- Comfortable working both in the community and office settings
