Shifts Available and Hours: Night shift 6PM-6AM
Job Summary:
The Extrusion lead is responsible for ensuring that production personnel perform their duties safely and in compliance with company policies. This role involves managing and motivating a team to maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization. This position reports to the PackingManager.
Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret precision measuring tools such as micrometers dial calipers feeler gauges and protractors
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a packing/warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer navigation.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a small team.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs as needed.
- Familiarity with operating and database systems such as Oracle and SCS.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete monthly safety training.
- Complete touch audits on new team members.
- Complete Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and perform random audits to ensure compliance.
- Cultivate and drive a good culture of good housekeeping organization and cleanliness through leading by example positive motivation and efficient time management.
- Verify product dimensions finish and quality in relation to customer specifications tolerances and internal expectations.
- Understand and manage department workflow including lot tickets press schedules tooling log inventory levels and material handling processes at the saw and through the age oven.
- Ensure smooth shift transitions by coordinating team readiness and communication.
