Salary is based on experience:

  • Human Resources Manager: $85000-$110000
  • Human Resources Director: $97000-$125000

This is a full-time role located in Kansas City KS. For certain positions including this one employees can work one day per week leaders also foster a culture where work life balance which requires flexibility for when life happens is important and respected.

Travel is 30%.

Trainingfor this positionis on the job training.

Key responsibilities may include:

Developand implement effective recruiting strategies to attract quality candidates for union and exempt positions

Conductinterviews and selection of candidates for hire/promotion

Investigateand resolve hotline calls internal complaints and EEOC/State agency charges in a thorough manner

Preparematerials and present training to diverse employee groups on various human resources and benefits topics

Proactively anticipateemployee concerns and work with department leaders on resolution and handling

Providecareer mentoring and counseling for employees in conjunction with leadership

Facilitateand execute various projects to improve processes and meet departmental needs

Respondto employee questions regarding payroll benefits and other HR-related functions

Multi-taskin a fast-paced environment adapting to rapidly changing priorities

Travelup to 30% of the time in the Heartland division

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred for Human Resources Manager role. A bachelors degree or higher is required for the Director of Human Resources role.
  • The level of position is based on experience and can grow over time. To be considered for the HR Manager role you must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field. To be considered for the HR Director role you must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook Word Excel
  • Prior experience in employee relations recruitment and hiring selection
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all federal and applicable state employment laws
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • High degree of integrity in handling confidential information
