Civmec is excited to announce that we have been awarded a new Sodium Cyanide Expansion Project in Kwinana workingMonday-Friday. This is a great opportunity for experienced Intermediate and Advanced Riggers to join our team!This is your chance to contribute to a major industrial upgrade and work alongside a skilled high-performing team.

The Role

Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:

  • Assist with lift plans and lifting activities
  • Align level and anchor machinery
  • Maintain and tag rigging gear as required
  • Ensure rigging gear is stored correctly
  • Assist with setup of cranes ensuring barricading exclusion zones and signage to comply with site specific requirements
  • Attach appropriately rated rigging gear to existing structures to facilitate the movement of loads using chain blocks pulleys tirfors and lever hoists
  • Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition. Lock them away or return to store when not required
  • Housekeeping
  • Perform other general duties as required

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Current High Risk Rigging licence and VOC (RI or RA)
  • Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
  • Current High Risk elevating work platform license and VOC
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
  • Previous construction experience
  • Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
