PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Office of Ethics & Compliance (OEC) is a part of the Office of the CEO Board area and reports to both SAP SEs Global CFO and the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board. Our mission is to advance SAPs business goals by promoting a culture of integrity and by mitigating a defined set of legal risks. Our focus includes compliance with the FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) UK Bribery Act and other global anti-corruption and bribery laws.
Within the OEC is the Third Party Audit Team that is responsible for managing audits and compliance assessments of SAPs partners and suppliers. SAP executes audit clauses in the agreement with our third parties and engages independent audit firms to perform the audit field work. The Third Party Audit Team works closely with the independent external auditor and the OEC Field Compliance officers to ensure the audit is conducted as planned the report is generated and any risks identified are mitigated.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The Compliance Auditor will be expected to take the lead on additional audit work related to corruption/bribery risks identified in the Americas region.
Primary tasks:
After audit report is received and reviewed perform additional audit work related to any corruption/bribery risks identified by analyzing the fact pattern of transactions and synthesize data into a professional memorandum with recommendations.
Complete follow up memorandums timely perform follow up actions/deep dive reviews to determine root cause of audit findings and suggest mitigation/consequence management recommendations accordingly.
Support Audit Directors with pipeline development approve sample selection and ad hoc data requests.
Draft and send recommendation letters review documentation provided by third parties and explain to the third party the improvement areas to meet SAPs compliance expectation as stated in the Partner Code of Conduct and PartnerEdge GTCs.
Coordinate with partner organization or procurement organization to obtain relevant evidence and information.
Conduct interviews with third party stakeholders and/or SAP employees to validate documents and processes to assess overall control environment and potential corruption risks from the third parties.
Review and research evidence/documents against established policies and procedures
As a result of audit findings and recommendations you may work on company policies and process changes and liaise with multiple areas to align compliance policies.
The position reports to the Manager Partner Data & Follow Up and will contribute to a wide array of Global team projects.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Fluent business English and Spanish is required. Fluent Portuguese is a plus.
Bachelors or Masters degree from business school or equivalent work experience.
Preferred candidate will have knowledge and a proven record of success in auditing or managing third party risks with focus on anti-corruption and anti-bribery (U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act UK Bribery Act etc.) fraud detection and internal control evaluation.
Preferred certifications CIA/CFE
Knowledge of SAPs or similar OEM software vendors indirect business models is preferred.
High proficiency working with IT systems especially finding and retrieving data and accounting documents in ISP CRM PRM CMS BW reports.
Proficient in MS Office especially Microsoft Excel
Excellent skills of using tools in performing data analytics / data recovery
Hands-on with attention to detail and written documentation
Ability to do in-depth research and to interpret written guidelines and documents.
Display good interpersonal influencing and interviewing skills along with the capability of drafting reports in a clear concise and complete manner.
Accounting knowledge (Basic understanding of accounting principles i.e. debits credits receivables payables IFRS/ US-GAAP/local GAAP) a plus
WORK EXPERIENCE
3-5 years in anticorruption/antibribery compliance audit investigation or related functions in a reputable law/accounting firm or auditing and internal controls services in an international accounting firm or multinational corporation including a proven record on anti-corruption investigation and fraud detection.
Experience in a partner/vendor-facing role is a plus.
