About the Team:
The Home Improvement Agency (HIA) is a well-established team specialising in home adaptations and improvements for a diverse client group including council tenants housing association tenants and strive to make homes more accessible safer and improve living conditions.
The HIA Team works closely with the Occupational Therapy service to meet the individual needs of clients which enables them to continue to live independently for longer.
About the role
The HIA is looking to appoint a surveyor for a 6-month is a challenging and exciting opportunity for a confident highly organised and efficient individual within the HIA role will involve assessing the feasibility of adaptation schemes recommended by the Occupational Therapy service drawing up schedules of works providing detailed drawings for contractors overseeing plans for adaptations and improvements and ensuring all projects comply with relevant regulations and quality standards.
You will be expected to manage a caseload whilst delivering and meeting will work closely with the Occupational Therapy Team Surveyors and Case Officers within the HIA Team. You will also need to demonstrate that you are able to manage and monitor the work of contractors to ensure that they meet key performance indicators ensuring that adaptations are completed to the specified standard.
Previous experience of surveying or work with disabled adaptations is desirable but not essential.
