Job Description
At Tenthpin we are seeking a talented client-facing and collaborative Lead SAP Developer to join our rapidly growing team. This is a senior position for someone who not only brings exceptional technical expertise in ABAP programming and S/4 HANA implementations but also thrives on leading teams mentoring others and guiding delivery across multiple geographies. The Opportunity
As a Lead SAP Developer you will play a dual rolebalancing technical delivery with leadership responsibilities. You will design develop and maintain ABAP programs and enhancements while also managing and coaching development teams working directly with clients and ensuring successful delivery across regions. Traditionally our work has been classic ABAP but we now partner with clients moving to ABAP Eclipse and RAP as part of a Clean Core approach. Some of our developers also build CAPM (Cloud Application Programming) skills to support extensions in or Java.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include but is not limited to.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead coach and mentor SAP developers driving technical excellence and growth.
- Oversee multi-geography project delivery ensuring quality and consistency.
- Provide direction on best practices architecture and SAP innovations.
Client Engagement
- Engage directly with clients to capture requirements and shape solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor aligning delivery to business objectives.
Technical Delivery
- Design and develop high-quality ABAP programs and enhancements.
- Build CAPM extensions ( for SAP BTP applications.
- Integrate CAP-based apps with S/4HANA using OData Event Mesh RESTful services.
- Collaborate with full-stack/integration teams in hybrid (on-prem cloud) setups.
Your Experience
- Proven track record leading and mentoring development teams.
- Deep ABAP & S/4HANA expertise with hands-on leadership in at least 2 full project lifecycles.
- Proficiency in Eclipse ABAP in the Cloud RAP; CAPM experience a plus.
- 10 years in large-scale SAP implementations.
- Strong client-facing consulting background.
- Skilled at solving complex business and technical challenges.
- Up-to-date SAP certifications showing commitment to staying current with the latest SAP technologies and practices.
