We are seeking an experiencedPrincipal Architect with deep expertise in AI machine learning and cloud computing to drive the design development and evolution of our content delivery platform. This leadership role will focus on optimizing high-performance systems and integrating cutting-edge technologies to shape the future of our business. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic advisor guiding both technical innovation and business alignment to deliver innovative scalable and secure solutions.
ZINIO powers some of the largest digital content distributors in the market. Newsstands retailers media service providers inflight entertainment and libraries offering incremental revenue auditable paid circulation and valuable brand exposure for publishers worldwide.
ZINIO solves the logistical challenges of a complex digital ecosystem and unlocks new revenue and subscription opportunities for publishers from managed apps & newsstands through to fulfillment services APIs & content readers.

Responsibilities:
Architect & Optimize: Lead the design and iteration of scalable high-performance software systems with a focus on AI machine learning and cloud-based technologies.
Drive Innovation: Lead the integration of new content formats distribution models and advanced SaaS solutions into our content delivery platform.
Strategic Vision: Serve as a strategic advisor identifying emerging technologies and aligning them with our business goals to unlock new revenue streams.
Team Leadership: Guide and mentor senior engineers fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning while promoting team collaboration.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product business and engineering teams to ensure consistent architectural vision and alignment with strategic objectives.
Client & Stakeholder Communication: Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of business requirements and translate them into actionable tech solutions.
Quality & Security: Ensure adherence to high standards of software quality security and scalability optimizing cloud architecture and DevOps workflows.
Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Identify and mitigate technical risks ensuring that solutions meet industry standards and regulations.
Skills & Experience:
Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
Professional Experience: 5 years of experience in technology architecture specializing in AI machine learning and cloud-based platforms with experience in SaaS and digital media environments.
Leadership & Innovation: Proven ability to lead technological innovation within a cross-functional team environment driving emerging technologies including AI from concept to implementation.
Exceptional Communication: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Technical Excellence: Strong experience designing scalable secure software systems with a focus on cloud architecture SaaS solutions and modern DevOps practices.
Strategic Alignment: Demonstrated experience aligning technical strategy with business goals in a fast-paced product-driven environment.
Vendor & Partner Management: Experience in evaluating and selecting technology solutions vendors and partnerships.
