1 Year Position SY 2025-2026Position OverviewThe High School Guidance Counselor provides academic career and social-emotional support services to students in grades 712. The counselor helps students develop educational and career plans aligned with their interests and abilities fosters positive mental health and resilience and collaborates with staff families and community agencies to ensure student DevelopmentAssist students with course selection and scheduling to ensure graduation requirements are met in accordance with Arkansas Department of Education student progress attendance and academic performance; provide interventions when with teachers and administrators to support student learning and academic & Postsecondary ReadinessGuide students in developing Individualized Student Success Plans (SSPs) per Arkansas resources for college career technical and military students with applications for college admission scholarships financial aid and employment DevelopmentProvide short-term counseling to address student concerns related to stress relationships self-esteem and other issues impacting school school-wide programs that promote positive behavior conflict resolution and safe school students and families to outside mental health providers or community resources when Management & CollaborationDeliver a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the Arkansas Comprehensive School Counseling accurate records prepare required reports and ensure compliance with state and district in Response to Intervention (RTI) 504 and IEP meetings as part of the student support with parents teachers administrators and community stakeholders to support student degree in School Counseling or related Arkansas school counseling license (Grades K12 or Secondary depending on endorsement).Knowledge of Arkansas Department of Education graduation requirements and the Arkansas School Counseling interpersonal communication and organizational to work effectively with students from diverse more information contact Jerrie Price at or
