Abbott Diabetes Care designs develops and manufactures leading-edge blood glucose monitoring technology for use in both home and hospital settings including our revolutionary Freestyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System.

Are you a passionate statistician with a strong leadership mindset and a desire to make a meaningful impact Abbott Diabetes Care is looking for a Statistics Team Leadto join our Clinical Statistics team onsite in Witney. This is a unique opportunity to lead innovation in glucose monitoring technologies that improve lives globally.

Why This Role

As a key member of our team youll collaborate across R&D Engineering Quality and Regulatory functions to drive data-informed decisions that enhance patient outcomes. Youll lead a talented group of statisticians and SAS programmers working in a dynamic inclusive environment that values continuous learning and professional growth.

What Youll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of statisticians fostering a culture of collaboration and development.

  • Provide statistical expertise across our product portfolio supporting both development and manufacturing.

  • Analyze data related to manufacturing stability and product performance to drive continuous improvement.

  • Design and support development trials and analytical test methods translating statistical insights into actionable business and quality decisions.

  • Communicate complex statistical concepts clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.

What Were Looking For

  • A BSc or higher in Statistics or Mathematics.

  • Experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in SAS and/or R programming is a strong advantage.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain statistical concepts to non-specialists.

  • A detail-oriented adaptable mindset and a passion for problem-solving.
