Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a long-term care facility. The CNA will provide direct patient care assist with activities of daily living and perform other duties as assigned under the supervision of a registered nurse. Previous travel experience is required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing toileting and ambulation.
- Obtain and record vital signs weights and other patient data.
- Collect and process specimens (urine stool sputum).
- Assist with feeding and meal delivery.
- Perform basic nursing procedures as delegated by a registered nurse (e.g. incentive spirometry pulse oximetry blood sugar checks).
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Communicate patient status and report changes to the nursing staff.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones and directing calls.
- Document patient care and related activities.
- Assist in emergency situations.
- Transport patients.
- Prepare rooms for admissions and discharges.
- Provide post-mortem care.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current or pending Alaska CNA license (application must be submitted).
- Valid CNA license from another state (if license is pending).
- Verification of completion of a formal CNA training program.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care.
- Ability to provide documentation of license application.
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurance (for use of provided vehicle).

Special Considerations:
- Previous travel experience is required.
- The facility will provide a vehicle for the traveler.
- Shifts are 4x12 or 3x12 variable (travelers choice) either days or nights depending on facility needs. No night/day rotation is expected except for urgent staffing needs.
- The CNA may float within their scope to meet facility needs.
- Guaranteed hours are 60 per two weeks with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift per two weeks.
- On-call is not required.
- Block scheduling is not accommodated.
- The candidates permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
Scheduling:
- 4x12 or 3x12 variable shifts (travelers choice).
- Shifts are either days or nights depending on facility needs.
- No guaranteed shift rotation.
