Position Summary
Support forge operations by preparing and loading furnaces per drawings and work instructions documenting in process parameters stamping/serializing parts and moving material with forklifts/manipulators. Ensure part flow documentation accuracy and safety compliance so downstream ring rolling and finishing operations meet schedule and quality targets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Build furnace load diagrams; stage batches and witness forge cycles; record critical in process parameters.

Read/interpret drawings travelers and internal instructions; complete accurate paperwork and labels.

Stamp/serialize parts and maintain traceability; archive documentation per procedure.

Measure rough/finished parts using calipers height/depth gauges etc. to verify ring roller fit; escalate discrepancies.

Operate forklift and manipulator to move parts tools and fixtures; perform basic propane refueling per training.

Communicate with forge heat treat quality and logistics to coordinate part flow and priorities.

Maintain 5S/housekeeping; follow PPE LOTO and hot work safety rules.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience in forging heat treat metals or heavy industrial environment preferred; entry level candidates with strong safety mindset will be considered.

Basic blueprint reading; ability to follow written work instructions and complete clear records.

Forklift experience; ability to certify to OSHA/site standards; comfort using manipulators/lift assists.

Ability to work standing/walking for long periods in hot environments and lift/move materials as needed.
Schedule & Pay

Training: 1 2 months on 1st shift (Mon Fri 5:00 AM 1:30 PM).

Regular: 3rd shift (Sun Thu 9:00 PM 5:30 AM).

Pay: $21.00/hour $1.00/hour 3rd shift premium; OT per CA law.

Frequent standing/walking; material handling; use of forklifts/manipulators and lift assists; required PPE provided/issued per site policy.
