Job Summary
Job Purpose and Impact
The Maintenance Mechanic I will perform maintenance and troubleshoot production or warehouse machinery typically focused on a singular trade and under frequent this role you will utilize maintenance and reliability practices to complete preventative predictive and reactive maintenance to ensure assets are maintained.
Key Accountabilities
- Learn maintenance and reliability practices to ensure all assets are maintained in safe condition while continuing to ensure the life of the equipment being used.
- Complete preventative predictive and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility under general guidance.
- Have a basic understanding or are trained on operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools basic hand tools electric tools precision maintenance tools and preventative maintenance technology tools.
- Understand or learn at least one maintenance trade and components (i.e. electrical welding pipefitting fabrication gearbox and bearing maintenance lubrication pumps and piping systems mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems).
- Modify by reading step by step instructions in either electrical or mechanical schematics blueprints and operation manuals.
- Document completed work and the conditions found utilizing maintenance computer software and interact regularly with peers and management.
- Operate forklifts and scissor lifts from designated locations with little variation.
- Other duties as assigned
