Electrician 1 Job Responsibilities:
- Completes assigned work orders and PM orders to maintain the reliability and integrity of the electrical infrastructure in the hospital.
- Responds to emergency calls to correct electrical failures during evening night weekend and holiday periods.
- Maintains a knowledge of Environment of Care and Life Safety code standards.
- Maintains and repairs all deficiencies relating to the fire alarm system to provide a hazard free environment for the patients staff and visitors using the buildings; Maintains the fire alarm system in accordance with the NFPA and Life Safety code requirements.
- Controls and completes issued paperwork for EOC corrections.
- Evaluates and determines the resources necessary to accomplish electrical construction requirements for assigned renovation projects.
- Wears appropriate safety equipment and complies with departmental and OSHA safety standards at all times.
- Follows hospital infection control/universal precautions at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in an electrical trade
