About Varda
Low Earth orbit is open for business. Varda is accelerating the development of commercial space infrastructure from in-orbit pharmaceutical processing to reliable and economical reentry capsules.

Varda is headquartered in El Segundo California where we have offices and a production facility where our vehicles equipment and materials are built integrated and tested. Varda also has offices in Washington DC and Huntsville AL (coming soon).

About This Role
Summer internships will range between the months of May and August.All dates dependent upon the university schedule of the selected students. Internships are full-time and on-site in Los Angeles CA.
Responsibilities
- Operate as an integrated member of Vardas Mission Management team
- Support mission managers in preparation of major contractual reviews or deliverables such as critical design reviews coordinating technical content and analysis across relevant disciplines
- Support sales team with proposal efforts to ensure new projects are appropriately scoped executable and aligned with strategic company vision
- Collaborate with engineering groups to understand vehicle readiness and how changes impact requirements vehicle risk CONOPs and flight dates
- Create high quality materials and briefings to communicate program status execution plans risks and schedule to external customers
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with project management
- Experience with hardware development projects
- Strong written and verbal communication
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Experience working on cross-discipline technical problems
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance
- Experience with Aerospace or other complex operations
- Previous internship or co-op experience
- Previous experience on technical project teams (i.e. Cubesat projects Solar Car Formula SAE etc.)
