Job Description
NS2 Mission is currently seeking a driven and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Chantilly VA. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) containerization and infrastructure as code (IaC). This role involves developing and maintaining scalable secure cloud environments and supporting continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in an Agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design deploy and manage infrastructure on AWS using services such as EC2 ECS EKS Lambda S3 and related components.
- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of microservices architectures in a cloud-native environment.
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines including integration of automated testing code review and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment actively participating in sprint planning stand-ups retrospectives and backlog grooming.
- Utilize RESTful APIs and contribute to cloud-native application development.
- Provide operational support for ETL workflows and data processing systems.
- Leverage Python scripting for automation orchestration or data transformation tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and DevOps tooling.
- Proven expertise with Docker Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Experience developing and deploying applications using AWS services including Lambda ECS EKS EC2 and S3.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices and software quality processes including unit/integration testing automated testing and code profiling.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing automation or application logic using Python.
- Working knowledge of ETL systems and data transformation pipelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams.

TS/SCI with FSP
