At LCRA we are seeking a driven Lead Power BI Developer to join the Wholesale Power team! In this role you will demonstrate proficiency in Power BI possessing strong technical skills and a forward-thinking approach. Key responsibilities include driving enhancements in business intelligence predictive analytics and data governance. This is an opportunity to operate independently tackle challenges head-on and efficiently juggle various priorities. Having expertise in Maximo PeopleSoft and the power sector can enhance business operations. You will be trusted to:
- Design develop and maintain BI solutions using Microsoft Power BI including dashboards reports and real-time analytics integrating data from multiple sources.
- Collaborate with business areas within Wholesale Power to define data models and support strategic decision-making through predictive analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy consistency and security across platforms.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on BI tools and data best practices.
- Align data strategy with organizational goals.
You qualify with:
- Twelve or more years of experience in developing and documenting business requirements and serving as a liaison between business partners & IT or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in business computer science information systems or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or relevant field.
- 8 years experience in a technical systems role.
- 3 years of experience with PowerBI.
- Proficiency in SQL with 3 years writing SQL queries for data mining.
- Experience translating business needs into effective data solutions.
- Experience creating visualizations for analysis using a variety of business intelligence tools.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
