Job Description

We are partnering with a global leader in engineered fastening and wire management solutions who is hiring for an Engineering Technician.

Position Highlights
- Title: Engineering Technician
- Full Time Direct Hire
Background Requirements
- Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in technical field Engineering or equivalent
- (preferred but not required)
- Ability to operate and maintain mechanical and hydraulic presses. (2-5 years of experience)
- Proficient with machine tools such as mill surface grinder and lathe (2-5 years of experience)
- PC/Microsoft Office skills
- Drawing reading skills
- Basic CAD knowledge (NX CREO)
- Problem solving skills
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and test installation tooling that will insure proper performance of joints between fasteners and installation panels
- Develop and machine fasteners used for prototyping process
- Assist in the development of new products for customer applications
- Test and validate performance of newly developed fasteners. Documentation in test reports
- Test and validate performance of released fasteners used in the new applications
- Modify tooling for validation of possible engineering change
- Provide Interface between other departments related to manufacturing/quality issues
- Develop solutions for manufacturing / quality issues together with the engineers
- Demonstrate the installation and testing capabilities to visiting customers
