Lake Region Union High School Job Description Position Title: Junior Varsity Softball Coach Reports To: Head Varsity Softball Coach & Athletic Director Season: Spring Sports Season (March - June) Location: Lake Region Union High School Orleans VTPosition Summary:The Junior Varsity (JV) Softball Coach at Lake Region Union High School is responsible for leading the JV softball team and supporting the overall development of the softball program. The coach will work in alignment with the varsity program to teach skills build character and prepare student-athletes for potential varsity-level Responsibilities:Plan and lead effective practices focused on skill development teamwork and game and supervise all JV games and assist the varsity program when a culture of sportsmanship respect and accountability among with the varsity coaching staff to ensure program consistency and player academic eligibility and encourage student-athlete success both on and off the proper supervision of students at all team clearly with athletes families and school staff regarding expectations schedules and inventory and care for school-issued equipment and by all rules and regulations of the Vermont Principals Association (VPA) the Lake Region Athletic Department and the Orleans Central Supervisory :High school diploma required; associates or bachelors degree experience in softball (school youth or rec level).Demonstrated knowledge of softball fundamentals team building and player communication leadership and organizational Aid of all VPA-required coaching certifications (can be completed after hire).Successful background check and fingerprinting Commitment:Daily practices and games held after school during the spring season (March - June).Attendance required at tryouts practices games (home and away) and end-of-season meetings and training as scheduled by the Athletic :Stipend position as determined by the Lake Region Union High School coaching pay scale - please refer to page 27 of the CBA -
