Job Description

Basic Function

HF Sinclair in Dallas TX is seeking an Internal Audit Tech Intern who will conduct routine information system application auditing assignments for the Internal Audit department under direct supervision.

Job Duties

(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
  • Assists with documentation and testing of ITGCs for the Companys Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts
  • Assists team in conducting routine IT and operational technology risk-based audits and review of internal controls of the Companys operations
  • Maintains documentation of ITGCs including narratives and matrices
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

Education Level

Some completed courses needed for a Bachelors Degree in business information systems management information systems computer science internal audit accounting or finance are required.
PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: Concentration in management information systems or business information systems is preferred.

Required Skills

Basic ability to perform routine audit tasks and some risk analysis. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; entry-level understanding of IT concepts and procedures (e.g. role-based permissions logical security controls change management etc.). Intermediate reading and writing ability to effectively communicate with others both written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to perform basic math calculations. PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience with ERP financial software is preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Work Conditions

Office based with up to 20% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery warehouse/plant environment and out-of-doors environment including but not limited to chemicals pressure vessels and tanks and rotating equipment. Subject to all temperatures weather and varying road conditions.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing walking sitting twisting stooping crouching kneeling talking or hearing making visual inspections making precise hand and finger movements reaching or grasping lifting and/or carrying up to 20lbs pushing and/or pulling up to 20lbs climbing up to 40 ft perceiving color differences and wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted).
