Shangri-La Xiamen opened in 2017 located in the heart of Guanyinshan International Business Centre which takes only 25-minute ride from the Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and just minutes away from the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Centre. We have 325 luxurious rooms and suites and offers 3 F&B outlets including Caf Amoy Chinese restaurant Lobby Lounge and 11 Banquet function house guest will enjoy the hotels comprehensive fitness and recreational facilities including kids club indoor lap pool steam rooms saunas and state-of-the-art gym equipment.
We are looking for an Assistant ExecutiveChef
As an Assistant Executive Chef we rely onyou to:
1. In charge of leading the culinary departments to ensure operational efficiency driving quality standards whilst ensuring a high level of staff engagement
2. Create and develop menus and recipes
3. Build collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure the best price and quality is achieved
4. Maintain the highest food quality and sanitation standards
5. Ensure the ultimate guest experience in the hotel
6. Drive high standards of food preparation in order to increase profitability of the hotel
7. Enforce the implementation of food safety programs throughout the entire division

We are looking for someone who:
1. Has a passion for Food & Beverage
2. Always thinks outside of the box
3. Enjoys being creative
4. Has good organizational skills
5. Has experience in either a luxury restaurant or a 5* hotel environment
6. Leads by example
7. Enjoys interacting with people
8. Communicates and writes with fluency in English (and local language)
9. Detail-minded creative and has the ability to drive and lead change
10. Always aware of latest market trends and industry updates
11. Enjoy being challenged
12. Must be a friendly helpful and trustworthy leader
13. Displays curiosity and takes time to learn and understand new culinary trends
