Job Summary

The Parts Person is responsible for customer service wholesale and retail sales working directly with our body shop and service lane technicians.

Parts Department Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish

  • Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock

  • Complete special order part request for the customer

  • Communicate with customer on parts status

  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner

  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures

  • Understand and follow federal state and local regulations applicable to industry

Parts Department Requirements:

  • Previous experience at a dealership with a preference on GM dealership experience.

  • Ability to identify the problem quickly

  • Knowledge of automobiles

  • Effective analytical and communication skills

  • Strong reading computer and mathematics skills

  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of dealership experience in service or parts departments

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Positive friendly attitude

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Detail-oriented have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
