Watson Candidate Assistant is here to answer questions about working at Dallas ISD.- Perform advanced diversified and confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience and skill including handling sensitive & confidential information in an appropriate manner without exception.
- Facilitate the day-to-day functions of the office to meet the objectives of the department and district while serving as the assistant to the Chief of Technology.
- Serve as liaison between the Chief and department heads administrative personnel providing information as directed by the Chief as it relates to the daily operations of the department.
- Organize and maintain routine office work and make arrangements for appointments conferences interviews and travel for the Chief of Technology and staff as needed; reconcile travel expenses and reimbursement.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from other departments or campuses and satisfactorily address inquiries and requests.
- Participate in the departments short and long-range planning for the division as directed by the Chief of Technology.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of reports including Trustee requests.
- Maintain payroll and assist with purchases and expenditures as needed for the department.
- Discuss and provide feedback to the Chief regarding administrative areas of responsibility.
- All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification as appropriate.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U. S. A. Equivalency)
- Five years of administrative support experience
- Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Power Point Outlok TEAMS and SharePoint) and with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication
- Must have demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in all matters and show proper discretion in handling sensitive/confidential information
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Problem-solving/investigative skills to research and respond to inquires
- Ability to perform responsibilities with limited supervision
- Ability to multi-task maintainingmultiple tasks at all times
- Ability to perform routine phases of accounting and budget operations
- Ability to interact with all levels of District personnel including District executives
- Knowledge of District organizations operations and administrative policies preferred
- Strong organizational prioritization communication customer services supervision and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some travel throughout the district may be required for this position.
