About the service:

The Wollongong Mental Health Hub is a community mental health and wellbeing service providing community outreach and in HUB supports. We are open to everyone in the community for mental health can access a range of community mental health support services; clinical mental health services; care coordination and Peer supports.

Role overview:

  • Acts as the central point of communication and provides a superior level of secretarial and reception services to young people clinical and management headspace staff.
  • Medical Reception duties including taking incoming calls and directing the caller to the appropriate member of staff
  • Appointment scheduling and maintenance of clients
  • General Office duties including opening and distribution of mail typing scanning filing and archiving
  • Assist in the closing and securing of the building at the end of the day
  • Typing of Medical letters to members of the clinical team
  • Monitoring of Mental Health Care Plan and sessions to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Liaise with Clinical Service Manager to manage MBS billing and other billing systems through Medicare and other funding streams
  • Liaise with Clinical Service Manager to monitor and manage client pathways
  • Support the Clinical Service Manager in accessing General Practitioners and other community stakeholders for sharing information about Stride Hub

Requirements:

  • Ideally a Certificate III in Medical Administration or similar qualification
  • Excellent administration time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the health /NFP sector with an ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven record in working closely with and being a successful member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication interpersonal problem solving and organisational skills
  • Well-developed customer service skills
  • Ability to think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of duty of care rights to privacy and confidentiality
  • Must have good availability
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
  • A current unencumbered drivers license
