JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Poker Supervisor the Poker Dealer is responsible for providing legendary guest service. Responsible for all aspects of dealing various Poker games such as Hold em Omaha and 7 Card Stud while providing friendly excellent service to every guest.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Delivers great customer service by dealing all games offered by Horseshoe Baltimore in a friendly and helpful manner with an upbeat/positive attitude.
  • Assists in training guests not familiar with various table games products.
  • Deal live poker games and poker tournaments.
  • 6 months Dealing experience required for audition.
  • Demonstrates an effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures.
  • Deals games in accordance with internal controls MLGCA regulations and company policy.
  • Maintains the pace of the poker game.
  • Informs Supervisor and/or Manager of irregularities and disputes on game.
  • Able to maintain applicable departmental dealer efficiency metrics.
  • Responsible for Table Tray Bank assignments.
  • Handles financial transactions at the poker game.
  • Collects the poker revenue (the rake) from the pot in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Collects the Promotional money from the pots in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Monitors the game at hand for irregularities and customer problems.
  • Monitors the chips and money on the game at hand.
  • Enforces poker rules at the game.
  • Works on the poker room floor in other capacities as directed by the Poker Floor Supervisor.
  • Conducts the games in accordance with Company policies and ensures compliance with company policies procedures and gaming regulatory requirements.
  • Verify and sign for Fills Credits Marker Issuance and all documentations listed in Horseshoes Internal Controls.
  • Handling guest transactions and notifying Floor Supervisor of any irregularities.
  • Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines at all times.
  • Promote outstanding guest and employee relations.
  • Always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 21-years of age.
  • Knowledge of casino rules procedures and regulations as related to Poker.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Must be able to perform basic math quickly.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Temporary Position
  • $6.30 Per Hour plus Tips
  • Bi-Weekly Pay Dates
