The Boeing Fire Department is the worlds largest Industrial fire department. Boeing firefighters provide a safe working environment and are ready to respond to emergencies and disasters at our Boeing sites.
This team member will perform multi-discipline duties and provide technical consultation to stakeholders this role your work will primarily be site-based with a regional approach specific to focused training needs. This position is perfect for a self-starter and collaborative team player who demonstrates a sense of urgency and initiative in determining and completing actions independently. The selected candidates responsibilities are needed to join the teams activities in Berkeley MO Mascoutah MO and Saint Charles MO.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the Deputy Chief with matters related to fire prevention in coordination with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) Boeing site focal and Ground Flight Representatives (GFR)
Carry out the directives of the Site Deputy Chief
Oversee the deployment of fire prevention processes at the site to ensure a safe and effective implementation consistent with Enterprise direction (i.e. Fire prevention week special events etc.)
Facilitate audits to include Fire Department Service Quality Assessments (SQA) Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Area of Operational Interest (AOI) audits
Provide detailed reports relating to fire prevention using Emergency Reporting to support fire department management and functions
Keep the Site Deputy Chief advised of fire prevention activities
Assist with the development and maintenance of site operations and risk mitigation plans
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Current State International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Proboard Fire Fighter 1 Certification
Current State International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Proboard Fire Fighter 2 Certification
Current National Registry or Missouri Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
Ability to apply for reciprocity within 30 days of your start date and obtain reciprocity within 6 months of your start date
5 years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word Excel PowerPoint Access and Project
3 years of experience in Fire Inspector and/or Fire Inspection
3 years of experience in Emergency Services
3 years of experience conducting inspection and testing of fire protection equipment (Building Sprinkler Systems Fire Extinguishers Fire Alarm Systems Code/Policy violations etc.)
3 years of experience maintaining Life Safety Fire and Sprinkler and/or Security Systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience as a lead in an informal or formal setting
Experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees including executives
Experience with Security & Fire Protection or uniformed security policies procedures disciplines and requirements
Experience in a role requiring strategic planning
