Gundersen Health System is looking for an RN to join the Pre Op/Recovery team! This opportunity will allow you a variety of patient care experiences work-life balance and to work with a great team!

What you will do:

  • 44 hours every two weeks
  • Pre Op Two 10-hour shifts per pay period primarily 8:00am-6:30pm or 9:00am-7:30pm
  • Recovery Room - Two 12-hour shifts per pay period 8:30am-9:00pm
  • Approximately (1) weeknight call shift every 6 weeks from 11pm 7am. Approximately 3 weekend call shifts every 6 months
  • Weekend call hours include Friday 11pm 7am Saturday 7pm 7am or Sunday 7pm 7am
  • Weeknight call is assigned; weekend call is self-scheduled. 1 hour response time for call shifts
  • One holiday per year
  • A fast-paceddepartment cares fora variety of surgical specialties varying in age from pediatric to geriatric
  • Pre-op primary responsibilities include assessing and preparing the patient for surgery providing education and preparing for discharge home
  • Recovery room/PACU primary responsibility is monitoring levels of consciousness vitals and treating post operative side effects such as pain or nausea.

What you will need:

  • RN license to work in the state of Wisconsin
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS for healthcare providers
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience
