Essential Job Functions
- Develop and execute a business development strategy to grow contract logistics revenue in the Midlands.
- Identify and target strategic customers in automotive retail/e-commerce manufacturing and FMCG sectors.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting and solution design through to proposal contract negotiation and handover to operations.
- Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers (supply chain directors logistics managers procurement leads).
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering operations finance IT) to create tailored warehousing and fulfillment solutions.
- Manage complex RFI/RFP/tender processes ensuring accurate solution design and competitive pricing.
- Deliver sustainable multi-year contracts that support our long-term growth strategy.
- Seeks out and targets new clients and new sales opportunities initiates action plan (with originators on team) to approach and secure new business for the Company
- Ability to inspire others to share company vision and support them to reach company/individual goals.

Other Skills & Abilities
- Proven track record in selling contract logistics/warehousing solutions in the UK ideally with experience in the Midlands market.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations supply chain engineering and value-added logistics services.
- Experienced in solution-based consultative sales with deal values typically 1m and long sales cycles (618 months).
- Established network of contacts within the Midlands across relevant sectors particularly automotive.
- Commercially astute with the ability to build compelling business cases for outsourcing.
- Confident communicator with gravitas to engage at senior level.
- Resilient driven and results-oriented with a hunter mentality.
- Collaborative and team-oriented ensuring smooth transition from sales to operations.
- Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems for opportunity assessment and sales pipeline management
- Willingness to travel.
Education and Experience
- 4 years of sales experience in Logistics/Contract Logistics
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
