Job Description
Environmental Services Director
Location: Bethany Home Brandon SD
Schedule: Full-time Leadership Role
Are you a hands-on leader who takes pride in creating a safe clean and welcoming environment Bethany Home is seeking an Environmental Services Director to oversee our maintenance housekeeping and laundry teams. This position plays a key role in ensuring our residents staff and visitors experience a safe well-maintained and home-like setting every day.
What Youll Do:
- Lead and supervise our environmental services team (maintenance housekeeping laundry).
- Ensure our facilities and grounds are kept in excellent conditioninside and out.
- Oversee preventive maintenance for equipment HVAC systems fire alarms and more.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety infection control and compliance with state/federal guidelines.
- Manage supply inventory and budget responsibly.
- Support residents and staff with timely work orders event setup and special projects.
- Rotate on-call for maintenance emergencies.
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in supervision maintenance or environmental services (healthcare setting preferred).
- Strong organizational communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and coordinate outside service providers.
- Hands-on knowledge of basic plumbing carpentry electrical and groundskeeping.
- A passion for working with older adults and creating a safe home-like environment.
